The Underground City, also called RESO, connects more than 30 kilometers of underground galleries serving over 60 buildings. It is the world's largest indoor pedestrian network.

Underground City (map)

Montreal's Underground City connects most of Downtown Montreal's largest buildings, and facilitates travel and shopping within the area. This network is interconnected with the Metro (subway system), including the Place-d'Armes, Bonaventure and McGill stations.

Several shopping malls, including the Complexe Desjardins and Place Ville-Marie, are connected by the Underground City's network. This provides shoppers with a large variety of shops and dozens of restaurants. The Underground City is also connected to both of Downtown Montreal's train stations.

We suggest that you have a look at the Underground City's map by clicking on this link (scroll down through the page). You can enter this underground network through the Palais des Congres (map) (convention center), which is located right next door to the hotel. Other entrances located near the hotel include the Central Station (map) and the Complexe Desjardins (map). Within the network, many signs provide directions to reach the different points of interest.
